Once you have your video clips in your camera, you are ready to have them uploaded in Windows Movie Maker or other editing program.
WMM supports Windows Media files, JPG files and MJPG file (maybe others too); but does not support Quick time files.
If your camera or computer automatically has quick time as format, you can convert your files by doing the following:
1. Upload and save your video clips in your computer hard drive
2. On the internet, go to Mediaconverter.org http://www.mediaconverter.org/index.php
3. Click on Upload a video, audio or office file from your local hard disk
4. It opens a small window. Click on "Browse..."
5.Upload your files (it has to be done one by one, sorry!)
6.Click on next step
7.Choose the file type to convert to: click on the arrow and select "AVI"
8. Click on Save as default setting
9. Name the output file (optional): (it is better if you do it)
10. Click on Next step
and again Next step
11.Click on "Download now"
12. When your download is completed, select open containing folder, the move this clip to My Videos. It would easier if you create a new folder in My Videos, you can call it "Science project"
If this converter does not work for you, go to http://media-convert.com/, it is free and do not required downloads.
